Magical Affirmations

December is so magical and wonderful! It’s the greatest time for reflection than any other in the year and today I felt like writing about a little something I’m passionate about.

I love affirmations and read enough books to know that this is a constant theme in the steps to self-love. If you say these affirmations enough, you will believe and become them. Negativity fills so much of our days. We self-deprecate everything we do and don’t acknowledge our full potential.

I try and read an affirmation every morning to really start the day on a high and repeat it constantly whenever my mind begins to wander out of the present moment.

Here are some that I found on The Mala Collectives Pinterest Board ♡

I’ve found you have to be very open minded with affirmations. In today’s society where there is gossip, negativity and harsh realities, repeating these affirmations is where I tell myself that everything’s okay, you’re more than this time, you’re full of so much love and fear will not control you.

I’ve had plenty of times where I’ve forgotten that lately but will get back on track starting from right now. I also hope you will be enlightened by this post to at least try and see how great you feel!

Time For Change

This blog is a secret no longer! I announced on my Twitter this afternoon that katiestocker.com is here and I’m so happy. ☺️

time-for-change

I love writing and have to stop comparing myself to others in every aspect of my life. This is a type of blog I enjoy reading and if others don’t, well that’s okay.

I love this passage from Louise Hay:

Often what we think of as the things “wrong” with us are only our expressions of our own individuality. This is our uniqueness and what is special about us. Nature never repeats itself. Since time began on this planet, there have never been two snowflakes alike or two raindrops the same. And every daisy is different from every other daisy. Our fingerprints are different, and we are different. We are meant to be different. When we can accept this, then there is no competition and no comparison. To try to be like another is to shrivel our soul. We have come to this planet to express who we are. I didn’t even know who I was until I began to learn to love myself as I am in this moment.

We all have to stop comparing and worrying what others think and just do right by ourselves. I’m learning to love myself more and more one day at a time. So I’ll just keep posting about anything and everything I love and want to write about, regardless! 💖

World Kindness Day

Today is World Kindness Day and very appropriate to celebrate after the troubling events over the last few days.

Even after the world and my personal life have taken a knock, I will always keep kindness in my heart and love in my soul.

Whenever I feel lost or filled with uncertainty, I turn to ‘You Can Heal Your Life’ by Louise Hay and would recommend everyone to do the same and gain much needed perspective on loving yourself and others.

Something I’m Doing Well At

At the moment I feel like I’m doing well at staying present in the now.

I’m living a happy life and wanted to share the books that I had turned to on some dark days in the past. They made me appreciate the world and the human experience more so than ever before. I would definitely recommend these for anyone with an open mind and heart.

I’m fascinated by Louise Hay’s guidance on how positivity of the mind can cure an ailment you may be suffering from. Eckhart Tolle taught me to live in the moment and appreciate our Earth. As for Miranda, this was the first “self-help” book I ever bought and was the catalyst to my healthy wellbeing I try and live today.

They’re all beautiful books; different and unique in their own ways. I’ve done very well to keep the sceptic in me at bay and appreciate different opinions. In the end they all have one message in common… they want you to live a positive and happy life.
