My Goals For The Next Month

I’ve loved this September but now the seasons are changing and Autumn is almost here, there’s certainly some goals I would like to achieve in October:

Love my Blog
I definitely have some ideas in mind for future blog posts and hope to work on one or even two every weekend and publish them in the week. Daily blogging has been a great achievement for me (as I rarely stick to anything!) but it’s been hard work keeping up towards the end as my personal life’s been a bit busy.

Eat Healthily
I will learn to cook healthy meals and stick to a routine that works for me.

Harry Potter Book Marathon
I want to have read all the Harry Potter books by the end of the year! Just finished Philosophers Stone… wish me luck!

Yoga & Meditation
I will keep up with my yoga and meditation schedule.

Stay True to Myself
I’m getting a few bad vibes lately and I want to be sure not to let any outside influence affect who I am. Advice from others is always treasured by me but I know who I am and what kind of person I want to be in this life.

Let Go
I’m not too old and it’s not too late. TTC is hard work. Mentally and physically I’m drained this month as we’ve not had the outcome we so desire. So we keep going, we keep trying but the magic is slowly dimming. I know we’ll bring it back and today is just a low point. I have to learn to let go and remember that what will be, will be.

Update: I’m going to learn Italian! 🇮🇹

A Day In London

On this post, I had to bullet point my whole day and funnily enough it fell on the day we went to London to see Harry Potter and the Cursed Child! So I’ll start from the top:

  • Woke up at 6am
  • Checked my Instagram & Twitter
  • Fell back to sleep (oops!)
  • Woke up again at 8am
  • Watched Tanya Burr’s New York vlog
  • Got out of bed
  • Made the bed (very important! 😄)
  • Started yesterday’s blog post
  • Ate Cheerios for breakfast
  • Got dressed
  • Applied makeup
  • Packed bag for the day
  • Mum came to pick us up
  • Dropped off at the train station
  • Took train from Southampton to London Waterloo
  • We had to stand on the train all the way to London! Disclaimer: my bad as I have to sit in the direction the train is going… Am I alone in this?
  • Arrived in London
  • Bought some lunch from M&S
  • Walked to Trafalgar Square
  • Sat in Trafalgar Square and ate lunch
  • Lost Joel and then spotted him taking selfies on his own by one of the big fountains 😂
  • Walked to Shaftesbury Avenue
  • Arrived at The Palace Theatre
  • Watched Part One of HP&TCC (it was sooo hot in there!)
  • Finished watching Part One (about 2 hours later)
  • Walked to Prezzo and had lots of yummy Italian food
  • Walked back to The Palace Theatre
  • Watched Part Two of HP&TCC (lots of water this time!)
  • Walked to London Waterloo to catch our train home
  • Sat on train (with seats this time)
  • Ate some fruit
  • Finished & published yesterday’s blog post
  • Fell asleep on Joels shoulder
  • Arrived in Southampton
  • Got in a taxi
  • Arrived back home at 1am!
  • Had the coldest shower ever
  • Jumped into a nice cosy bed
  • Slept for just 5 hours as work in the morning

Phew! Okay, it was a day full of walking, sitting, eating and drinking. Just like most day’s really! haha! The plays were amazing and I feel so lucky to have had the chance to watch them in the theatre.

I also have to say I have a new found love for London again. It’s so pretty and the architecture is incredible. We will definitely be back again over Christmas!

Someone Who Inspires Me

I’ve been a huge fan of Emma Watson’s for a really long time and at first I (like many other girls) was completely jealous of her. She was a normal British girl just like me, who had the biggest adventure playing Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter series. I’d watched her grow up on screen for 10 years and at the time, only admired her for the character she played so well.

It wasn’t until a few years ago that the Hermione image was shaken and what was left was this incredibly bright, humble and passionate woman. Her speech at the UN completely inspired me and I was hypnotised by her words on gender equality.

I always can’t wait to see what she does next to help make the world a better place.

What I Got For Christmas

I’ve seen these posts going round in the past few days and thought it’d be fun to share five of my favourite things I received this Christmas too!

I was a bit more organised this year and actually created a list of items I’d seen online that I would love. Pinterest is an excellent place to do this, so you can just keep a wish list and pin items you see online as and when.

Rosie1

So firstly, I got these gorgeous pyjamas from Marks and Spencers. They’re classy, stylish and really comfortable. I wouldn’t mind being caught midday by the postman in these pyjamas for sure! The Rosie for Autograph selection is literally blowing my mind… I would love everything from her range.

I have been burning my new Yankee Candle everyday since Christmas. Cinnamon Stick is such a nice scent and great for those cold evenings in blog writing! 😉

Next up were these beautiful daisy stud earrings my husband got from notonthehighstreet.com. These were on my wish list for ages as I bought them originally for my friend’s 30th birthday. She loved them and they looked so cute so I had to match! They go with every outfit and I’m wearing them all the time at the moment. They’re also on sale now! (Typical)

Euphoria by Calvin Klein was literally my go-to scent for every occasion a few years ago but I wanted to venture out and try new brands. My sister was using up the last of her Euphoria bottle a few weeks before Christmas and I fell in love with it all over again. It seems as though we just needed a little break but found our way back together again (haha!) It’s the loveliest scent and I am guaranteed a compliment if I’m wearing it (which is always a nice confidence boost!) so I would highly recommend it if you’re looking for something new. Be warned though, it’ll stay with you for years to come! ♡

Lastly, I’ve had my Harry Potter books for years (like most people I’m sure) but my copies are completely over-read with sand still in the pages from all the holidays I’ve brought them on. One day I was reading a blog posts of Tanya Burr’s and (I really don’t know how I noticed this!) I saw a different cover copy of one of the books in the corner of a photograph. It was amazing and I did some research and found them on Amazon! The covers on these are so CUTE! I know that really shouldn’t matter but I figured it’ll be lovely to have nice copies of the books to have up in our kids bedrooms one day. I’m not expecting them to stay perfect but if you could see my original copies… you’d understand.

So I’ve been a really lucky girl this year… I got a back massager and a new yoga mat; a load of lovely things for our new house and advice books on married life! All in all I will definitely be keeping up my wish list again for 2016 and have convinced most of my family to do the same.
