Only 10 days to go before Christmas Day!
I have so much to do and buy still; the month has just flown by! I must admit, I’m running out of ideas for some posts, so I’m having to draw inspiration from other bloggers out there! I saw this great Christmas Tag post on Ciara’s Ramblings blog and thought I would split it out into 2 parts!
What is your favourite Christmas film?
Home Alone. I watch it every Christmas without fail!
Have you ever had a White Christmas?
I’m sure I have had a White Christmas when I was really little but in recent memory… no. We live in the South of England, so snow usually hits us is more in February time.
Where do you usually spend your holiday?
With our families either in Southampton or Kent. For the last few years we’ve been split between the both. This year we’ll be having Christmas Day at my parents, Boxing Day with Joels and then a few days in Kent with my extended family. It’s not Christmas without seeing them all and having our yearly games competitions!
What is your favourite Christmas song?
The Christmas Song by Nat King Cole
Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve?
No, we’ve never opened any the night before Christmas! My sister and I had stockings each that were filled with presents by Father Christmas (😉), so when we woke up on Christmas Day they’d be all full. We’d then take them to my parents room and open them all first thing in the morning on their bed. That was such a special time in my life and I can’t wait to do the same for my own children one day.
Can you name all of Santa’s reindeer?
Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixin, Rudolph, Donner, Blitzen…? I really should know them all by now! (That list is definitely not right! haha!)
What holiday traditions are you looking forward to most this year?
When we open presents, we take it in turns so we can see what everyone has received. Joel was so shocked by this at his first Christmas with me! It made me realise it’s a real ‘Winch Tradition’ that we have to do every year.
Is your Christmas tree real or fake?
Our Christmas tree is fake and my Mum & Dad’s from years ago!
What makes the holidays special for you?
Family. The art of gratitude. The magic of Father Christmas. The excitement on our nieces and little cousins faces when they get something they really treasured. General time out, to take a few days to a week with no work or commitments and just eat, drink, chat and sleep. You really start to think about the end of the year and your goals for the next one. My Christmas’ are always full of so much love and magic. I couldn’t be more blessed.
